This means that we have to work almost 23 months to make what our white male colleagues made in 12 months, at the same education level, job qualifications, and experience. According to the pay analysis from NWLC, there is a gap of almost $30,000 a year between Latinas and non-Hispanic white men working full-time. That’s money that won’t be going towards paying rent, buying groceries, putting a down payment on a house, college tuition, etc. This gap will end up costing the average Latina nearly $1.2 million over a 40-year career. TLDR: Latinas are severely underpaid.
