Date Night at Chama Gaucha
My fiancé and I have been visiting Chama Gaucha since we first moved to Houston 5 years ago! In fact, it was the first restaurant we dined at once we officially moved here, and have celebrated many milestones there! We celebrated a new apartment and many dating anniversaries there, so I was thrilled when I was selected to do a giveaway with Chama Gaucha! #sponsoredpost!!

Like many couples, we try to make “date night” happen at least once a month, but it’s hard! Not to mention, we are currently planning our wedding, so we have a lot on our plate right now! We went on a quiet Monday night, so I was feeling rebellious, because who goes out on a Monday?! (Not sure why I was surprised, Houston is boujee like that and the restaurant was packed even on a Monday night!) We truly enjoyed our dining experience and the service is always 5 STARS, they are consistent and that’s what makes Chama Gaucha such a gem!
FYI Happy Hour is ALL DAY Monday and Tuesday!
The atmosphere is dimly lit, wine bottles and cocktails are flowing, and although it’s a large restaurant, it still feels intimiate. We sat in a 2 person booth tucked away in a corner and spent the evening drinking their famous passon fruit caipirinhas. I highly recommend this cocktail you will be hooked! I’ve also had their dirty martinis and they are always spot on! If you aren’t into that their famous lemonade is all the rage!
If you’re not familiar with a churrascaria, its a Brazilian steakhouse where you sit down and the only time you need to get up is to hit the salad bar, or run to the restroom. Each person gets their own double sided chip, one side red and the other green, and when you’re ready to dine, simply give them the green light and a gaucho serves you tableside. Service is quick and efficient, so make sure to look at the menu beforehand if you are looking for something in particular. In addition to the cuts of meat, black beans, rice, polenta, garlic mashed potatoes, caramelized bananas and their famous pão de queijo is also brought out. For vegetarians, they have an enormous salad bar with over 30 different items! When you’ve had enough, simply turn the card over back to red, it truly is ALL YOU CAN EAT!

So cute. My BF would love to go next month. We’ve been long distance for 1.5 years this month, Houston-Singapore, but together longer. He’s flying in next month for my bday (it’s a big one, gulp) and I can’t wait to see him and go on a non- FaceTime date!!

Obvi I’m trying to win this since I left a comment on your IG as well! 😉 we’ve been juggling a lot between school, work and our photography business and just life itself. It’s been hectic. For our first anniversary in 2014 he surprised me with dinner here. I always told him I would take him again but we just haven’t got around to it yet.

My husband and I would love this! Definitely something to surprise him with and he will love it. He works everyday and even works over time to support our 1 and 2 year old children. He really does alot for us and it would be so great to surprise him with this and to spend some time alone since were always busy working and taking care of our children together
