JAX Burgers Fries & Shakes – Cypress

Sunday was National Burger Day! And in honor of all things beefy and juicy, I stopped at JAX Burgers Fries & Shakes! They have 10 family owned locations and I visited an old friend of mine at their Cypress location, just right outside of Houston, TX.

Amanda and her husband Anthony took ownership of this location after graduating from the Culinary Institute LeNotre. Amanda began working at JAX in 2014, and after working her way up, franchised it in 2016. They both currently serve in the Army National Guard and have two young girls. Amanda also continues to go to school full time and is determined to set a good example for her family.

If you’re in Cypress you can stop by JAX M-F between 11 am – 8 pm (open an extra hour Fri and Sat!) where you’ll find Amanda with a big smile on her face, greeting all her customers, and Anthony cooking up fresh, delicious burgers. Can’t make it in person? No problem! You can find this location on the WAITR app and they’ll deliver to you!

JAX has custom sauces, ketchups, and homemade buns all locally sourced from Texas. Their menu has several mouth watering options, all their burgers are made with 100% angus beef and never frozen. They also have chicken or vegetarian options. I ordered the Baja Burger and the Spicy Habanero Burger, a side of Cajun Fries and Bacon Cheese Fries. The portions are HUGE and the burgers come upside down!

Per their tagline, JAX’s promise to you: “Always Upside Down! Always Fresh! Always Hot & Juicy!” I walked out of there with a happy belly and a milkshake in hand, if you have any room left definitely take the milkshake to go!
