Bronze Me – My First Spray Tan

I was in Mexico last month and came back with the prettiest tan! Except I became so uneven, I wore different style swimsuits during our stay causing crazy looking tan lines, and let’s not even talk about my seat! It was embarrassingly white, so I reached out to a few local bloggers and they connected me with Ashley Nicholas, owner of Bronze Me Tan based out of Houston, TX and surrounding! I have never paid for a tan, my ancestors gave me a good base to start with, and I normally enhance it with some natural vitamin D. However, I wanted to even out and try an organic method, and after seeing some before and after photos, as well as talking with Ashley, she made me feel super comfortable to meet up with her and get bronzed! And if this couldn’t get any more convenient, Ashley is mobile – by appointment only – or you can visit her in Friendswood!

Let’s start with what you need to do BEFORE you spray:

1. Exfoliate and shave. You want your skin to be as smooth as possible!
2. Don’t wear deodorant or lotion to your appointment.
3. Make sure you are NOT peeling.
4. Wear loose fitting clothes to appointment (preferably in black or a dark color).
5. Unless you want to tan in the buff, wear a thong or a swimsuit. For men, wear bottoms of your choice.

AFTERCARE to make the glow last:

1. No shaving or exfoliating after the tan.
2. No showering until the next day, so take a shower right before your spray if you can.
3. First shower, use only water and no harsh cleansers.
4. Stay moisturized, use a quality lotion to seal in that tan.
