Turkey Meatballs Spaghetti

My homemade Turkey Meatball Spaghetti actually calls for a jar of marinara sauce! Look, life happens and sometimes you just don’t have the time to make it from scratch, and that’s ok! This recipe will show you a quick and easy way to elevate the canned sauce to make it taste homemade!
- 1 lb ground turkey
- ½ cup Panko
- 1 egg
- 3 sprigs green onions chopped
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- ½ cup chopped onions
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 yellow zucchini sliced
- 4 oz baby bella mushrooms
- 14 oz Mom's marinara sauce
- ½ container Banza Rotini Pasta
- 2 sprigs fresh basil
- 1 tsp Parmesan cheese
- Bring large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Prepare Banza Rotini pasta according to package, drain, and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, Panko, egg, green onions, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Make 1 inch meatballs and place on a clean plate.
- Bring large skillet to medium high heat, add olive oil.
- Brown meatballs on all sides, then add onions and sliced zucchini.
- Once zucchini softens, add mushrooms and stir until just cooked through.
- Add marinara sauce and bring to a soft boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add Banza Rotini and stir until warm.
- Serve hot and garnish with basil and fresh Parmesan cheese.
